Department of Dance Open House 

The Department of Dance at Â鶹ÊÓƵ invites you to our Open House on February 16, 2026!  
  
Prospective students will have the chance to take classes with our faculty, enjoy a live performance, and discover why KSU Dance is one of Georgia’s leading university dance programs! We will also have Q&A sessions with Admissions, Advising, Financial Aid, and current Dance Majors.

Schedule for the Day

8:30am – Check-in Chastain Pointe Bldg. 300.  

9:00am - Welcome by Department Chair and performance by KSU Dance Company â¶Ä¯&²Ô²ú²õ±è; 

9:30am – 10:45am -  Contemporary Dance Class! 
Please wear comfortable clothing with clear and simple lines. Bare feet, slip-on jazz, or half-sole shoes requested.      â¶Ä¯&²Ô²ú²õ±è;

11:00am-12:15pm Choose Your Dance Experience, Observe or participate in KSU Dance Technique classes â¶Ä¯&²Ô²ú²õ±è;

  • Studio 1 – Ballet III â¶Ä¯&²Ô²ú²õ±è;
  • Studio 2 - Jazz Dance  â¶Ä¯&²Ô²ú²õ±è;
  • Studio 3 - Hip Hop  â¶Ä¯&²Ô²ú²õ±è;
  • Studio 4 - Modern II â¶Ä¯&²Ô²ú²õ±è;

12:30pm-1:15 pm - Lunch at The Commons. Attendees will be provided with a lunch voucher.  â¶Ä¯&²Ô²ú²õ±è;

1:30 – 2:00 pm  - Q&A Panel with Admissions, Advising & Financial Aid   â¶Ä¯&²Ô²ú²õ±è;
 
2:00pm-2:45pm - Q&A Forum with KSU Dance Faculty, Staff, and KSU Dance Student Ambassadors   â¶Ä¯&²Ô²ú²õ±è;

3:00pm – 4:00 pm Walking Campus Tour with Admissions & Student Ambassador
