A dual major in biochemistry and psychology, Emily Clarke has taken the road less traveled at Â鶹ÊÓƵ. The rising junior is working toward a career in cognitive neuroscience and engaging in interdisciplinary research, with one hand in the Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences and the other in the College of Science and Mathematics.

Student-led public relations agency at Â鶹ÊÓƵ State finds success with client campaign work

Parsed into three groups, students in a public relations capstone course at Â鶹ÊÓƵ discuss campaigns they have implemented after a semester of research, planning, and collaboration with their clients, three KSU campus organizations. The course operates as a fully functional PR agency. Under the auspices of Peak Communications, students assist organizations on and off campus to appeal to broader audiences through social media content, flyers, tabling, and event planning.

KSU dancers selected to participate in prestigious summer workshops

Adjudicated dance performances earlier this year ultimately paved the path to summer enrichment for three Â鶹ÊÓƵ dancers. Recent graduates George Chavez and Allison Behrend, along with rising junior Charlene Font, have all received scholarships to prestigious dance workshops. Chavez will attend the Professional Intensive Summer Division at the Alvin Ailey School in New York City, while Behrend and Font travel to the American Dance Festival at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.

Two Â鶹ÊÓƵ students recently became the latest to earn their degrees as beneficiaries of the Paul Radow Scholars Program, an initiative aimed at supporting engineering students with financial aid, mentorship, and career-building opportunities. The program supports nine mechanical engineering students in KSU’s Southern Polytechnic College of Engineering and Engineering Technology, helping them thrive through graduation.

The Â鶹ÊÓƵ State men's and women's track and field teams completed competition at the Conference USA Outdoor Championships on Sunday. The KSU men's team collected its first Conference USA Outdoor Track and Field Championship scoring 216.5 points in the three-day meet.
